I'll dominate 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be streamed in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's bout.

Former two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Civil Exchange

In spite of these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.

Paul instead criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

Still, the novice is still one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters participated in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the bout is really happening.
